"Back off Bam Bam.."

Tina Mercado was a former inmate of Wentworth Correctional Centre.

Tina was was the apparent translator and lieutenant for Cindy Lou, head of the Asian drug crew in Wentworth Correctional Centre. S

he worked for Cindy Lou on the outside and is now serving time on the same charges as her former employer (running an illegal brothel, employing an unlawful non-citizen, drugs) – however if truth be known, she was the brains of the outfit and just uses Cindy Lou as a got to, when Cindy dies Tina remains quiet about it but works hard to keep drugs going into the prison.

During Ferguson's Kangaroo Court she tells Kaz that she has to take on Ferguson one-on-one.

In episode 6x03, it is revealed that Tina had came clean to the police about her a false alibi for Joan Ferguson in regards to the murder of Iman Farah, helping lead to Franky Doyle's release, it's also possible due to Tina's drug connections she possibly had to be placed into another unit or she was transferred to another prison, or simply released.

Trivia[]

  • Tina disappears after season 5, but it is revealed that she gave a false alibi over Iman Farah's death, which she later recanted to Senior Detective Collins off-screen in 6x03, leading to Franky Doyle's charges being dropped.
  • Due to having not appeared since the season 5 finale, Tina's fate remains unknown.
