Rose Atkins is a former nurse at Wentworth Correctional Centre
Rose who seems to take an interest in Will Jackson. Rose is nice to both staff and prisoners. Rose got hit by a man in a van, who was paid by Joan Ferguson to harm Will Jackson.
Will Jackson then smashed Harry Smith 's van because he thought Harry tried to harm Rose and Will.
Rose is suddenly gone at the start of series four, she may have resigned due to high stresses of working at Wentworth.
Time At Wentworth[]
Rose becomes involved with Officer Will Jackson.
Rose helps Doreen Anderson (Wentworth) with the birth of her son Josh and she gives her tips on how to deal with the pregnancy in prison and deals with Jessica Warner trying to meddle in their relationship.
Rose breaks up with Will because of the murder investigation and all the issues he is facing
When Rose has dinner at Will Jackson (Wentworth)'s house she goes out to get fired wood but she finds the axe in the backyard and asks Will if it is blood, and Will tells her not to touch the axe head because he tells her that he is being framed for Harry Smith (Wentworth)'s murder because he used the same axe to break his van windscreen. The next day at work Rose all but breaks up with Will stating that she can no longer deal with his issues and says that they can be friendly to each other at work but that is it.
Rose during 'Blood and Fire' is seen trying to calm down Doreen after her son goes missing and Rose reports it to officer Linda Miles, before the prison is put on lockdown as a result. Rose and the prisoners make it to the muster points when the prison is on fire, and stands with Vera and Linda when an explosion happens.
After the prison is re-opened, she is replaced by Nurse Lee Radcliffe as Rose did not return to resume her role as prison nurse.
Trivia[]
- Along with Sky Pierson, Kim Chang and Mel Barrett, she is one of the characters who disappears from the storyline without any explanation.
