Ray Houser was Rita Connor's ex fiancé .Ray was also a member of the Conqueror's motorcycle gang. Ray had been apart of the bikies for quite some time and he was furious that Rita was arrested in what should have been a simple robbery, when he is told by Rita that she was an undercover cop, Ray does not mind and even asks Rita to marry him, but breaks up with Rita when he is attacked by another bikie gang the Butchers Gang.
Ray is killed by a rogue member of the Butchers when he is about to go into Wentworth to marry Rita Connors., he is shot twice and he dies in the carpark outside the main prison gates, Rita is devastated by his death.

Ray breaks up with Rita after he was attacked by a rival gang
In the visitors centre, Rita goes to see Ray and she is shocked by what happened to him, she asks him if Butchers Gang did that to him. Ray says that Rita was deadset that they were dealing drugs and she says that she got it wrong and what does he want her to do. Ray says that he wants a decent explanation as the club is blaming him and most of the club now wants him dead. Rita apologizes to him again and Ray says that it took a lot of guts for him to ask Rita to marry him and she said no, as Rita says that she said yes as well, Ray says that it is pretty simple after Rita says everything is just complicated at the moment. Ray ends up ending it with Rita and says that he could forgive a lot of things but not being used, Ray leaves as Rita sits alone in the visitors centre.
