Debbie Smith was the daughter of Wentworth Correctional Centre inmate Bea Smith.

Debbie was a happy, carefree girl until her mother Bea was sent to Wentworth so living with her father Harry Smith was a nightmare, so she decides to rebel aganist him.

Debbie meets Brayden Holt when she goes to visit Bea. Brayden and Debbie fall in love under the orders of Jacs Holt he is ordered to give her a fatal overdose.

Life during Wentworth[]

In the beginning of the series, her mother was arrested for trying to murdering her father, Harry Smith. She was angry at her mother for what she did but she didn't know her father was beating and raping her mother and that her mother tried to kill him out of self defence.

Brayden got her addicted to drugs and he injected her with drugs in the arm which made her overdose. Debbie died in season 1 and Bea takes revenge by killing Jacs then by trying different ways to get back at Brayden Holt and eventually killing him and getting arrested for his murder.
