Vera and Will confront Derek Channing, who tells them he is on the hunt for Ferguson for revenge. Channing later tries to blackmail Vera after convincing himself that she is working with Ferguson however his plan backfires.
During the night, Ruby is having a nightmare about what happened the night she attacked Danny. Ruby had confronted Danny after he assaulted Ruby's friend Shelley Hayes and calls him a pig. Danny tells Ruby that she wasn't complaining and disgusted by this as Danny turns, Ruby punches him in the head causing him to fall to the ground with the noise of his head cracking, shocking Ruby awake.
Marie is in medical and Allie is handing her some food, Marie tells Allie that she wants Taylah to flush the gear she had as she doesn't want anyone else dropping rat poison into their veins. Kaz is watching on as she asks Allie how Marie is and she says that she heard it was touch and go. Ruby walks over and gets Allie's attention and jokes about her escaping without her, Allie says that she was just dropping in on Marie to see how she was after her OD. Allie says it serves her right for trying that rubbish, Allie then says that Marie had some good news as someone on the outside obtained the CCTV photos of the person who hit Danny, Ruby says that is great and asks Allie if she is going to breakfast, Allie says she has to find Taylah, Ruby is worried.
Ruby tells Rita that she is getting photos from the CCTV of the carpark, Rita says that the cameras like that are always in poor quality and that they could be anyone, Ruby says that it would show what she is wearing as they notice Drago walk past, Rita tells Ruby to eat breakfast. Rita rushes to the cells and she moves the photos around before she takes the one she needs and leaves.
Allie finds Taylah in the library and says that she has a message from Marie which is to the flush the left over gear that she has. Taylah says that she no longer has the gear and Allie worried thinks she has taken all of it, Taylah says that she didn't use all of it and told Kaz where she had stashed it.
In the unit Kaz sits down as she hands Liz a tea and Boomer comes in swearing and says that she copped a charge and says with her record she will most likely cop 6-10 years. Boomer says that Cherry is paralyzed. Kaz tells Boomer to keep calm and Boomer says how can she do that when someone thinks that she was the one who did it, Boomer then asks if Kaz knows who did it and Kaz says that it was Marie and Boomer asks where she is, Kaz says that she is in medical as Boomer goes off and says that she is about to put her in the morgue, Kaz warns her and says if she does that she will cop another charge.
In her office Vera tells Will and Jake to stop acting like children and tells them they need to stick together and she sits down and says that she told Will about Jake being blackmailed by Channing and calls it another chapter in 'the life and times of Jake Stewart' Jake then retorts with 'what was that about cheap shots'. Vera then says that the more she thinks about it the more it now makes sense that he could be the one behind it, Will says that Channing in the prison when the escape happened and Vera says that maybe he wasn't as careful as he thought. Vera then says that they need to find out what to do and Jake says that they could always bury him on top of Ferguson and both Will and Vera are disgusted at that and Jake says what then and Vera says that they need to find Channing and speak with him.
Vera and Will show up to the place where Channing has been holed up as Vera asks if it is the right place, Will says that it is because he had spoken with Channing's wife who told Will that he had gone off the rails after losing his job and went into a depression and deeper into drug addiction. Will and Vera have a look around the place and Vera find Channing's container and she looks around in it and sees that there is all sorts of stuff regarding the Ferguson and Doyle escape but it is mostly the Ferguson escape. Channing comes from no where and grabs Vera as Will comes in he tries to attack him with a hook but Will manages to tackle him and Channing freaks out asking what do they want. Channing seats himself and says to both Will and Vera to just say 'how the mighty have fallen' and Vera asks him if this is where he now lives, he says that he loves fishing and his work keeps him busy and Will says that they know what he is doing that it isn't going to work, confused Channing doesn't know what Will is on about but asks for further details and even says he will hunt down Ferguson and kill her. As Will and Vera leave, Vera says that Channing has become unhinged and Will says that he is coked up to the eyeballs, as they leave Channing stands at the end of the docks.
Linda takes Rita to see the cops and that she must be popular with them as she must have her fingers in a few pies, Rita says that they must have something in common then, as cover the Jones says that they would like to talk with her about her links to the bikers and she says whatever, Linda closes the door. Jones asks if Rita has anything and Rita says that she believes that Marie's protector has to be a cop as only a cop would have access to the CCTV images that are about to be brought in for Marie and that they were to low res for anything to be recognizable. Jones then says that the images where then sent out to a private imaging company and had many more hands on them then normal, Jones asks if that is all she has and Rita says yes as Rita then asks if the images showed up anything new and Morelli says that they showed up a tattoo of a double shafted arrow on the back of the neck.
Ruby walks to her cell as she sees that Rita is already in her cell and asks what is going in and Rita walks over to Ruby and sees that she has the exact tattoo that was seen in the CCTV images and Rita swears and Ruby says that is right as no one else should be touching her and Rita asks if Allie has, Ruby stumbles and says that she doesn't think that she has and asks why. Rita reveals that the photos Marie is getting in show the tattoo on the back of her neck and Ruby asks how she knows this and Rita says that she has a mate in the bike gang with links to the cops, Rita tells Ruby that she needs to break up with Allie because of it.
In the main hall, Marie is walking as Kaz is coming down the stairs and tells her that she is going to tell the governor that she knows who bashed Cherry and framed Boomer for it, Marie refuses and says what could Boomer do other then punch her tits in, Kaz says that Boomer won't deal with her but she will. Marie then tells Kaz that she is getting out soon and tells Kaz to involve someone else in her power games.
Vera arrives to work as she receives a message on her phone, when she looks at it, she tells her PA to get Will and Jake and get them to come to her office. Will and Jake are shown the photo that had been taken the night of Ferguson's escape. Jake can't believe it as he says that they have no choice now and they have to pay the money, Will looks at him and Jake yells at him asking him if he has any better ideas. Vera's radio then goes off and says that Derek Channing is at the gatehouse wanting to speak with her. Both Jake and Will cannot believe it and say that they thought it couldn't be him, Will says that he is gonna stay and Vera says that she will see him alone and tells the officer to issue him a pass and be let through.
Vera fidgets around in her office as she waits, a knock on the door and it opens as Linda says that Channing is here to see her and Channing says that it has been long time no see as Vera asks him what is he doing here and Channing says that he wants his life back and says that Vera is in a position to do so. Channing says that after he was paid a visit by both Will and her the other day he had some time to think and says that whatever happened was all Ferguson and now they are being blackmailed for it and says that Ferguson planned the whole thing in a Ferguson type of way and now he wants Vera to go to the police and tell them and he will keep Will out of it as Channing knows that Vera has a soft spot for Will and says that he will give Vera a day to think about it because that is the type of person she is, Channing leaves as Vera looks on.
In the airlock, Linda says that she is surprised to see him back in the prison, Channing tells her to 'get used to it honey bun' as she sighs in disgust as Hutch notices and says what is he doing back, as Channing turns to face the women they heckle him as Linda watches on from the airlock.
In the showers, Marie is having a shower as Boomer comes in and tells the women who are in there already to 'piss off' as they leave Boomer confronts Marie and she says that she thought Marie was her friend and Marie says that she is and Boomer says that Marie has set her up and reckons that she was the one who planted the baton in her cell. Marie asks her who told her that and if it was Kaz. Marie says that Kaz is protecting the real person who attacked Cherry and attacked the screws and says that it is Liz. Boomer says that Liz must be doing it to make shit up and Marie says that people are listening to it because they will listen to Kaz. Boomer agrees and she walks away.
Liz stands as her diagnosis is revealed to the entire prison
Vera and Jake are talking as Jake says that they have to call Channing's bluff and says let him go to the police and see who they believe, Vera says that there is one problem with that even though she wasn't involved with what happened the fact stands that there was an officer involved which makes it too close to home especially when the police decide to investigate. As Boomer walks to the airlock she notices Anna Deng calling an announcement from the PA about work unit. As the door opens and Deng leaves the office, Boomer manages to get into the office and block the door as Vera and Jake run over trying to get the door open as Boomer makes a prison wide announcement about Liz. Boomer reveals to the entire prison that Liz cannot be trusted as she has dementia, as the inmates watch on and start to make fun of Liz, Jake tells Boomer to unblock the door and as she does she is led out by Jake and another officer as Vera looks on.
Boomer in the governors office after revealing Liz's condition to the prison
In the governors office, Vera is looking at Boomer as there is a knock on the door, the door opens and it is Jake with Kaz who tells Boomer that she is surprised to see her there in the office and not in the slot. Vera tells Kaz that the slot doesn't seem to work on Boomer and says that she suspended her privileges for a month which included getting monte carlos and using the special spends, Vera also says that Boomer has said that she will attempt to fix what is left of the situation of revealing Liz's condition to the wider prison population. Boomer then says that Vera needs to investigate Cherry Li's bashing and Vera says that is a police matter. Boomer then says that she has Sonia's lawyer working on her parole and even 'a dumbass' would know that she has been set up. Boomer then realises what she just said and says that she wasn't calling her a dumbass. Vera says to leave that up to her and tells Kaz to deal with the situation and Kaz says that horse bolted and Vera tells her that horses bolt and it would've come out sooner or later.
Jake escort Boomer and Kaz back to the compound as he walks down the halfway, he is stopped by Allie who asks him what Channing is doing back in Wentworth and if it related to Ferguson, Jake tells Allie that they are dealing with it and Allie says that if they need any dirt on him to asks Marie for some, Allie walks away as Jake looks on contemplating the idea.
Drago and Marie attempt to match the outfit of Danny's attacker
Marie is in her cell as she hears a knock on the door and it is Drago who asks her how she is feeling, Marie is on edge and says that everything has turned to shit and Drago says that she has got the photos, as Marie looks through the them she states that she can't see the persons face and Drago says that they can match it to the people who were at the bar. Rita comes into Ruby's cell and asks her if she broke up with Allie, Ruby says that she can't because she trusts her and says that Allie wouldn't dog on her and Rita says that she doesn't know that, Ruby then says that she has an idea. Drago shows Marie the photo and says that there is still that and says that when she finds whoever killed Danny she will him, Marie tells Drago no because that is something she will do. In her cell, Ruby is waiting on Rita who is lighting a spoon to help get rid of her tattoo. Rita tells Ruby to bite down on the rag and breathe, Rita then proceeds to burn off Ruby's neck tattoo.
Boomer says that the prison deserved to know about Liz without realising that Liz did not tell anyone but Kaz about Cherry Li
In the unit Kaz is talking with Boomer who says that she told her that she would handle it and she would sort Marie out. Boomer says that Kaz talking about it meant 'jack shit' and she had to do what she done. Furious Kaz tells Boomer what gave her the right to break Liz's trust and hers. Boomer says that everyone had to know that Liz was 'losing the plot' and says that she was the one who lagged on her after Cherry got bashed. Kaz tells Boomer that Liz only told her and it was because Marie had gotten into Liz's head. Boomer asks Liz if that is true, Liz says that she wouldn't dob on her , Boomer realising her mistake apologizes to Liz and says that she is sorry for telling the entire prison. Liz says that is ok and it was probably for the best anyway and says that she is sorry that she lost her monte carlos and Boomer says that she has a spare pack, the two laugh as Allie walks over to Kaz.
Allie tells Kaz that Marie is messed up over the loss of her son
Allie asks Kaz what she is going to do with Marie and Kaz says that she is going to do what she should have done years ago, Allie says that she is the only one keeping the vendetta alive and says that Marie is just messed up from the death of her son and she doesn't want to get caught up in her power games. Kaz then says it wasn't all one sided. Allie argues and says that wasn't poisoning her enough and Kaz says that it wasn't because Marie tries to get Liz to commit suicide by giving her a hotshot and she stopped her from doing it. Kaz says that she needs to pick a side and Allie says that she isn't going to do that again and she walks out of the unit and sees Marie in her cell.
Marie is in her cell looking at photos from the CCTV as Allie comes in Marie says that she wants to show her something and then shows her the photos of the night Danny died in the carpark. Allie looks at the photo and asks what that mark is and Marie says that it is a tattoo on the 'bastards' head and Allie asks if it helped her find the person who attacked him, Marie says no and then she breaks down saying that it is hopeless. Allie tells her that she needs to stay away from Kaz and says that she won't let that grudge go. Marie says that she isn't afraid of her as Allie says that she should be as Kaz has already tried once. Marie learns that Kaz was the one who laced her gear. Allie tells her to just stay away as she only has a short time left in Wentworth, Marie nods.
In the yard, Ruby is sitting as Rita comes over to her and asks how she is feeling. Ruby says that it hurts to breathe but it should be fine as she has a head full of scars, as Kosta and her crew are making fun of Liz's now public dementia diagnosis, as Boomer tells them to stop, Kaz tells Kosta's crew to shut up as Marie then says 'or what' and says it again and this time as the fact that her gear was poisoned and Allie stands up realising that she is the only one who knew about it, Marie tells Kaz by whispering to her that she would cut her throat if she wasn't about to be getting out of Wentworth soon, Marie walks off as Kaz walks over to Allie and hits her in the face saying that she had no made her choice. Rita tells Ruby if she still trusts Allie now.
Ruby breaks up with Allie
Allie is in her cell as she is looking at her face, Ruby knocks on the door and says that she crossed Kaz. Ruby then says that Kaz was her best friend and she picked Marie over her, Allie then says that Kaz tried to kill Marie and Ruby says that Allie told Marie everything. Allie says she only told her because she didn't want anybody getting hurt and says that she wasn't expecting Marie to call Kaz out on it, Ruby says that it is the thing and says that she cannot trust Allie and she breaks up with her saying that they are done. Ruby leaves the cell and is highly upset.
During the night, Marie is lying in bed looking at her photo wall as an officer is doing night rounds, Marie realises that the light is getting closer and the door opens, it is Will. Marie gets up and says that it is a nice surprise, Will says he is not there for that but for Derek Channing, Marie says that is a blast from the past. Will says that he just needs some information to control Derek and if she would have anything on him. Marie asks what is in it for her as Will asks her. Marie agrees and says that she will need access to a computer and a printer to help him out, Will thanks her as she asks him to leave the cell. Marie gets her USB out of the book and gives it to Will as they leave, Rita is watching.
Channing is blackmailed out of Wentworth a second time over his business dealings
The following morning Linda walks with Channing to the governor's office as Will and Vera watch him come in Linda is told that she can go. Derek tells Will that once it all blows over he will be keeping him on as deputy and then Will says that it is going to blow over a lot quicker then he thinks as Channing asks Vera if she is calling the police or he will. Vera says that she won't be and then the file is placed on the table and then says neither will Channing. Channing looks at it and says what 'fucked up' game is she playing and Vera says that it is a lot of 'technical paperwork' that she doesn't understand but it contains statements from Channing's illegal brothels and shows photos of Derek's activities. Channing asks if Ferguson gave her all of the information and Vera says that she can't reveal her sources. Channing loses it and says that Ferguson is still messing with him as Vera uses the intercom to tell Linda to escort Derek ou of the building and when she opens the door Vera tells Linda that Channing must also return the visitors pass. As Channing leaves, Linda asks if he is coming back again and Channing tells her to 'fuck off'. Vera asks Will if she should ask where he got the information and Will says no, as Will then asks what are they planning to do, Vera says that they are going to have to pay the ransom to flush the blackmailer out.
Rita sits in the unit as Drago comes in and goes to Marie's cell, she opens the door and sees that Marie isn't in there and she looks at the wall of photos and she notices that a photo is missing, she realises that it must of been Rita who look the photo.
Rodney tells Marie that the victim she assaulted has died and she is looking at a 10 year sentence
Marie's lawyer Rodney is sitting in the interview room when the door opens and Marie comes in and she asks him if he has any good news on Marie's parole, and Rodney says that he has less then favorable news for her and he tells her that the doctor she assaulted has dropped dead as he was walking his dog. Rodney tells her that the autopsy revealed that he had died of a brain bleed just blow where she struck him. Marie sighs and Rodney says that the DPP are pursuing a manslaughter charge and are asking for a 10 year minimum sentence, he says that they will fight the charge and Marie asks what are her chances of being convicted, Rodney says that there is a precedent of possible delayed homicide and Marie tells him to tell it to her straight. Rodney says that she is "fucked", Marie looks on in disbelief.
Marie fights Kaz in the laundry
Marie is in her cell as she furiously comes out of the cell and walks to the laundry room while Kaz and that unit are doing laundry unit. Marie calls Kaz a hypocrite and says that she tried to poison her. Marie and Kaz have a fight as Officer Peta Webb tries to step in and break up the fight but is stopped by two of Kaz's crew. Allie tells them to stop and as they continue fighting, Allie presses the panic button, as Ruby watches her do it. Other officers come in and break up the fight, as Kaz tells Boomer to look after Liz, Allie looks on in disbelief at what has just happened.
Drago reads Ruby's file for vital information
Linda walks down the hall to the dining room as Drago asks her what the alarm was about, Linda says that it was for 'some shitfight' in the laundry as she opens the door to the dining room and says to make it quick. Drago hands Linda money as Linda hands Drago a file. Drago opens the file and it is Ruby's file, Drago reads and finds the vital missing piece of information that Ruby has the tattoo of Danny's killer.
Allie tells Drago, Marie is in the slot after attacking Kaz
Allie and several inmates are walking back to their units as Allie walks down the hall she is stopped by Drago who asks her where Marie is, Allie says that she is in the slot and Drago asks why, Allie tells her that she tried to attack Kaz. Drago walks away as Rita and Ruby come out of the airlock next as Drago looks at Ruby and Allie asks Ruby if they can talk, Ruby ignores her as Allie stands in the hallway in disbelief.
Ruby is in her cell, crying thinking about everything that she had done, she has flashbacks to when she hit Danny and when she first kissed Allie, Ruby hits her head on the wall to feel the pain as Marie is in the slot, pondering what is going to happen next.
Drago is standing in Marie's cell over the clipboard of photos and she places the pin in Ruby's head, knowing that Ruby was Danny's killer.
At night, Vera, Jake and Will are in Vera's office as they are sitting at the table with the phone in the middle of it they are drinking tea as Vera says that Proctor and Winter fighting is the last thing they need, as Vera's phone goes off it says to go to Bea's grave at 2am and to bring cash, Jake livid says 'what the fuck' as Will asks her if she wants to still go ahead with the plan, Vera says like they have a choice and Will puts a duffle bag on the table, as Jake looks on.
Jake and Vera realise that the bag of pamphlets is gone as the stalker gets away
Later during the night Vera, Will and Jake go to the cemetery, as Vera walks to Bea's grave, Will and Jake are watching from the bushes, Vera walks over and shines her torch on the grave and looks at it as she looks around to see if she can spot anything she doesn't but she looks at her phone to see if she has a message and when it comes through it tells her to leave the bag on the ground, Vera does so and gets another message telling her to walk away, Will and Jake watching on see someone and go over to the person as Vera is walking away and it turns out to be Derek Channing, Will and Jake wrestle him to the ground and Jake yells at him to drop the gun, as they ask him what is he doing there and Jake says that he thought Vera said it couldn't be him. Channing confirms that he isn't the blackmailer and all he wants to do is find Ferguson, realising they were distracted, Vera and the gang run off back to the grave and they realise that the bag is gone. The unidentified person gets back to the car and realises that they have been played when they empty the bag out and see that it is a whole heap of Wentworth pamphlets and gets their phone out to call the police.
The Officer confirms to command that the 'tip off was good'
The following morning, the police arrive at Ferguson's burial site, having received a tip-off from the stalker, the police proceed to search the area and the one officer makes a discovery calling it in saying that the tip-off was good.
