Vera, Will, and Jake are blackmailed with the photos of them at Ferguson's grave, and things reach an all time high between Will and Jake.
In the morning, Will, Vera and Jake catch the elevator, where it is quiet as Jake eventually asks how everyone slept. Vera tells him that as far as she is concerned last night didn't happen. Jake says that someone put gloves in her house and if it wasn't Ferguson who was it. Vera tells Jake to do some work for once and tells him to figure out what happened to Cherry Li. Jake gets off on the secure unit level as the door closes, Vera says to Will that she can't shake that image out of her head and Will says that he is very sorry and he didn't want to get Vera caught up in everything.
Vera, Will and Jake the next morning after digging up Joan's grave
In the yard, the inmates are talking about Cherry Li and her injuries and as Liz showers she overhears the comments and has flashbacks to that moment, she looks to where it happened in the showers. Marie walks into the showers and sees Liz and asks if she is ok, Liz tells her that she heard someone say her name, and asks Marie if she was in the showers, as Marie says that she doesn't understand, Liz then says that Marie is the one who hurt Cherry, Liz walks out, a furious Marie walks back to her unit and tells Drago that there was a witness to what she did, Drago tells Marie that she was just protecting her as Cherry was the rat. Marie tells Drago she has done enough.
In the yard, Kaz asks Boomer if she bashed Cherry and Boomer says that she didn't, as Kaz says that it would only be natural if she did as she lost her fight, Boomer says yes to that but no to hurting Cherry and says if she can go, Boomer walks over to Liz and asks what the trouble was about, Boomer says nothing as Liz asks if she is in trouble, Boomer says that she is always in trouble and they laugh as Liz says that is true. Marie asks Taylah how her visit was and the two share a cut. Marie walks over to Liz and Boomer and asks if she can talk to Liz, Boomer looks and asks what it is about and Marie says that it is private. Marie tells Liz that she wasn't the one who injured Cherry and it could've been anyone in the prison including Boomer because she had motive. Liz says that she is sick and she has dementia so she doesn't really know what she saw. Marie says that she is sorry and Liz says that she is too and Marie says to her that if she needs anything she is there for her. Boomer is sharing a laugh in the yard as she drops something in the yard.
Linda after telling Rita that Cherry will not return to Wentworth after being left quadriplegic in an assault
Linda is talking with an inmate as Rita walks over to Linda and asks her if there is any news on Cherry and Rita learns from Linda that Cherry Li won't be returning to the prison as she is now permanently a quadriplegic (Linda calls Cherry a "head on a stick"), Linda asks her if she knows anything and Rita says that she doesn't and Linda walks off saying that she didn't think so.
Ray ends things with Rita after the Butchers attacked the club
In the visitors centre, Rita goes to see Ray and she is shocked by what happened to him, she asks him if Butchers Gang did that to him. Ray says that Rita was deadset that they were dealing drugs and she says that she got it wrong and what does he want her to do. Ray says that he wants a decent explanation as the club is blaming him and most of the club now wants him dead. Rita apologizes to him again and Ray says that it took a lot of guts for him to ask Rita to marry him and she said no, as Rita says that she said yes as well, Ray says that it is pretty simple after Rita says everything is just complicated at the moment. Ray ends up ending it with Rita and says that he could forgive a lot of things but not being used, Ray leaves as Rita sits alone in the visitors centre.
Boomer and LIz are together as Boomer asks her if she wants to go to education and tease the 'nerds', Liz says no and says that she is going to have a lie down. Boomer says that she has been acting a bit more weird then normal and asks if she is ok Liz says that she is just tired as she walks away, Linda walks past and says that she has a visitor in the morning and Boomer says 'aye', Linda retorts by saying 'she heard'. Boomer then says everyone she knows is in Wentworth. Ruby is on the phone with her friend Shelley as Rita walks past crying.
Rita is in her cell as Ruby comes in, as Rita wipes away tears and says that she is 'fine', Ruby asks if she had a visit today, and Ruby says that she looks happy and Rita says that his name is Ray and he is one of the ones but their relationship is now over. Rita says that she just hates being stuck in prison as Ruby sits down beside her. Ruby says that she feels the same and the two share a moment together.
During the night Liz cannot sleep as she keeps having flashbacks toward Cherry's bashing, she cries herself to sleep, Vera is brushing her teeth and locking her house up for the night and as she prepares to go to bed, she receives a message from an unknown person saying that they know what she did.
Kaz asks Will what his questioning is about about Vera receives a blackmail text
In the morning in the stairwell Vera has shown Jake and Will the message and Will realises that someone had seen them at the graveyard and Jake tells Will to chill for a second and he asks Vera if she has contacted them and Vera says that is what they want to get attention, Will asks what do they do and Vera says that they just have to wait and asks if they are the only ones who know about Joan. Will and Jake ask Allie and Kaz if they told anyone else about what happened and they both deny any knowledge as Kaz tells Will whatever is going on he can trust her.
Michael Armstrong tells Boomer that Sonia must've meant a lot as she paid in advance for a possible appeal
Boomer sees Sonia's lawyer Michael Armstrong as he introduces himself Boomer says to him that Sonia is dead and he says that he knows and Boomer says that she doesn't want to talk about it., Michael says that Boomer must've meant a lot to Sonia as she contacted him a month prior to organise something with her sentence, Boomer asks if it is like an appeal, Michael agrees. Boomer tells Michael that she doesn't have any money for that and Michael says that Sonia had already covered the bill and says that Sonia must've cared a lot for her. Touched by this Boomer wipes a tear away and Michael says he is sorry if he upset her and Boomer says that she is good and Michael begins talking with Boomer who is excited at the prospect of leaving prison.
In the dining room, Liz and Kaz get their food together as Marie asks Liz if she is feeling any better and Liz doesn't really respond as Marie says that she meant what she said about helping. Drago comes over and says that it was Liz, Marie tells Drago to stay away from her and says that she is confused and has dementia and doesn't know what she saw. Boomer comes into the dining room and says that everyone who doubted her can 'suck it' as Sonia hired her a lawyer who is going to get her out of prison and tells Kaz that she is a shit top dog, Liz tells Kaz she is a good top dog and Kaz deflated says that she wasn't good enough to protect Cherry, as Liz has a flashback, she leaves the dining room.
Kaz goes into Liz's cell and sits down with her as Liz breaks down and says that she was actually in the showers when she saw Cherry get bashed, Kaz asks who she saw and Liz says that she doesn't know because she thought she heard one person but it could've been another person, Kaz says that it is ok and Liz says that she thinks it may have been Boomer.
Shelley visits Ruby who tells her to watch out for Marie's goons on the outside
Ruby goes to the visitors centre where she catches up with one of her old friends Shelley Hayes as Allie sees her visitor, Ruby tells Shelley that her rapist is dead but his mother is inside Wentworth and is going after people who where at the party they went to. Ruby says that Marie is dangerous and if she does anything to provoke the people going after them she'll get hurt, Ruby tells Shelley that she should've stayed in New York. Allie looks over to see how the conversation is going. As Ruby and Allie return from the visitors centre, Allie asks Ruby who the hot chick is and Ruby says that she is just her mate and Allie tells her not to feel weird about it, Ruby says that she doesn't and tells Allie that they have five minutes.
Vera is in her office as she receives a message on her phone that says 'I know what you did. $500k or I'll call cops'. Vera rubs her temples as she speaks with Will and Jake outside on the roof and tells them that there has been another message. Will wonders where they would get $500k from and Jake says that they should just pay the money and Vera says that blackmailers do not stop and that would not be the end of it. Jake tells Vera that she could mortgage her house and Vera tells him he can go fuck himself. Vera says that she needs more time to think about and she walks away. Jake says to Will that Vera has money and could pay for it as Will looks at Jake in disgust.
Boomer says that she is innocent and did not hurt Cherry
In the laundry, Rita watches Taylah trying to work as Rita tells Ruby that Taylah is pinned and tells her to help her, Ruby goes over to help as she tells Taylah to do something else, as Boomer laughs at what is going on she looks over at an angry Kaz, Boomer throws a sheet on the ground and tells her what. Kaz says that she can't stand a liar and says that a little birdie told her that she was in the showers when Cherry was bashed, and Boomer says that her birdie is 'tweeting bullshit' and says that she isn't lying to her. Marie is telling Drago to keep quiet, as Boomer says that she hasn't done anything wrong and isn't getting her hand stitched because of it. As the women are about to get back to work, Taylah collapses as she vomits into a basket of washing and drops to the ground crying out in pain, Rita says to get an officer as Allie calls out to Linda, she comes over and calls it in as Boomer says that it wasn't her .
Will says that Linda has heard rumblings and should toss Boomer's cell
In the medical corridor, Jake says that Taylah is a possible OD as they tossed her cell and found a foil, Vera tells Jake to keep her posted and he agrees, as Vera walks away Jake asks her what she is going to do with the message, as Vera doesn't say anything, Will comes around the corner and says that Linda has heard something and thinks that they should toss Boomer's cell, Vera doesn't believe it and Jake says that he can get on that and Will says that he will, Will and Vera walk away as Jake looks on.
Boomer is slotted for Cherry's attack
In the unit, the cells have been tossed as Boomer asks what are they looking for and Vera tells Boomer to be quiet as Linda comes out holding the stick that was used to hit and hurt Cherry Li, Linda says that it was found under her mattress and there is blood on it, Vera tells Will and an officer to slot Jenkins, as Boomer tries to tell her innocence as she says that she has her parole coming up soon, Boomer is taken away as Liz realises that it might've not been Boomer that she had seen in the showers as Marie watches on from the hall.
Liz goes to Marie's unit and she walks into Marie's cell and Marie looks at her as Liz says that she knew the truth about Cherry, Marie says that she already told Liz that she wasn't there, as Liz tells her that Drago was and says that she saw her, Marie says that she may have gotten confused again, Liz says that she wasn't confused and that she remembered. Marie tells her that Boomer is the one locked up and to just leave it at that as Liz replies back what if Boomer is innocent as Marie says that the weapon was found in Boomer's cell and says that it could've been planted and Marie replies with that it points to her being guilty as Marie tells Liz that she needs to rest because if she is going to keep on going she will end up in the psych unit, Liz storms out.
Drago reveals to Marie that she loves her and would do anything for her
Drago walks over to the cell as Marie asks if she heard all that and Drago nods, Marie is annoyed as she says that she framed Boomer, and Drago says that she took care of business, Marie says that their business is on the outside and that's where the focus needs to be, Marie asks Drago if she wants to be in Wentworth forever. Drago says that she was protecting Marie and Marie yells back that she didn't need to be protected and Drago says that she didn't have and she knew Marie wouldn't have done it, and she says that she would do anything for Marie and reveals that she loves her, Marie looks at her and Drago says to not be surprised about it. Drago says that she does what she does because Marie doesn't have the guts to do it, Marie tells Drago to leave Liz alone and Drago says that she is the one dealing with it because if Liz talks she goes down with her.
Boomer and Liz in the slot after Boomer is slotted for Cherry's attack
Boomer is sitting the slot as she hears the door open and it is Linda with Liz, Boomer says that she isn't hungry and Liz asks Linda if she can give them a moment, Linda nods as she closes the door and Liz walks over to Boomer and says that she hates mashed potato, Liz says that Boomer doesn't and Boomer says she doesn't like it when it is cold. Liz says that Boomer is lucky and hands her over biscuits. Liz sits next to her and Boomer says to Liz in a defeated tone that she was getting out of Wentworth for about five seconds. Liz says that maybe she still can and says that what if she tells the screws that she was in the showers when Cherry got bashed. Boomer tells her that is a dumb idea and Liz asks why and Boomer says that it is because of her dementia that they would believe she is making things up. Liz agrees as she apologises to Boomer and Boomer says that she has nothing to be sorry for.
Kaz walks to medical as she knocks on the glass she opens the door and says that it is a peer worker visit and Mr Jackson approved it, Nurse Shen says to make it quick. Kaz walks over to Taylah who asks how she is going, Taylah says that she doesn't know what happened and that she only had a little taste, Kaz tells her that she is young and that she doesn't need any gear, Taylah says that she does and Kaz says that the guards tossed her cell and Kaz believes that she has another stash somewhere and asks Taylah where she has it hidden so she can get rid of it for her, Taylah refuses to tell her as Nurse Shen tells Kaz that she has to leave, Kaz looks at Taylah and she leaves, looking at her one last time.
Liz is in the showers as the women notice Drago come in and slowly leave, Liz looks up as Drago walks over to her pulling out a shiv, just in time Marie comes in and calls Drago to stop, Drago tells Liz something and then walks away as Marie walks in an over to a distressed Liz.
Liz tells Marie that she should've let Drago shiv her because she cannot handle losing her own mind
Marie takes Liz back to her cell and Liz rubs her temples as she says to Marie that is it then and she's "fucked" and Marie tells her that she will deal with Drago and Liz says that it won't do a lot of good. Liz says that she can no longer handle the dementia and says that she needs a drink, Marie asks her if she can get her one and Liz says that she is supposed to be on the wagon and Marie says that everyone has their vices, Liz tells Marie that she should of let Drago shiv her.
Will is walking down the hallway as Vera tells him that Taylah Bullock's tox report came back and says that she is very lucky as she had rat poison in her system as Vera asks him to call in the dog squad Will says of course as he asks if they can talk about 'the other thing' Vera says that she as a conference call. Jake asks Will if Vera has made up her mind yet and Will says that it is $500k and not a parking fine, Jake says what if they get thrown under the bus and Will says that Vera wouldn't do that, Jake says that something has to give and says to Will that Vera needs to hurry up.
Kaz is standing outside of Liz's cell as she says that she missed work unit and Liz says that she wasn't feeling well. Kaz walks in and says if it is about the Boomer thing and Liz turns around and asks how did the screws find out about it and Kaz says that she doesn't know and that she didn't tell anyone. Kaz asks Liz if she is ok and Liz says that she doesn't think Boomer was there in the showers and says that no one can trust her memory anymore, Kaz says that her nan would write down notes to remember things and it is an idea as Will walks by he says Kaz's name and Kaz tells Liz to get some sleep and they will talk about their idea later. Kaz walks out of the cell and Will says that the tox report came back on Taylah and says that there was rat poison in her system and he tells Kaz that if there is any in the prison it needs to go.
Allie notices someone on Marie's photo wall but doesn't say anything
Marie is in her cell as she is trying to make foils as she hears a knock on the door, she tells the person to hang on before she flushes the toilet. Marie tells the person to come in and it is Allie who tells Marie that Kaz had seen Taylah and that she is doing well, Allie says to Marie that she hope the OD wasn't her doing and Marie denies that as Allie goes to sit Marie tells her not to as Allie lifts up the sheet and sees the drugs and Allie says that she wishes Marie didn't need the drugs and Marie says that she doesn't but she likes it, Allie hands over the photos to Marie before the wall grabs her attention. Allie asks what do the stickers mean and Marie says that those people have been talked too and cleared as Allie recognises one of the faces on the wall she is quiet and doesn't say a word as Marie asks Allie if she can give her a minute, Allie leaves as Marie goes to the bed and makes a foil.
In the yard Allie and Ruby are talking about Boomer, Ruby says that she knew Boomer wanted to fight Cherry but didn't know she could've done something so brutal, as Ruby realises that Allie isn't listening she asks her something and Allie says that she wants to know about the girl who was visiting Ruby in the visitors centre and says that Marie has more photos on her wall and says that the girl on the wall who visited her must know something about Danny and Ruby says that she doesn't and she has no idea, Ruby asks Allie not to Marie because she doesn't want anyone to hassle Shelley and Allie agrees. Ruby tells Allie to come here and she gives her a hug but looks on knowing she just lied to her.
Marie hands Liz a way out
Liz is asleep in her cell as Marie looks into it from the outside, she goes into Liz's cell and wakes her up, Liz wakes up and asks her what, Marie sits down next to her and shows her a syringe, Liz asks what is that for and Marie tells her that it is heroin. Marie says that if Liz stills wants a painkiller she tells Liz that it is the best there is. Marie then explains that in the syringe is three hits and if she was to take all of it at once it will be all over for her. Marie tells her that she should be the one who choses how things end and Marie looks at her and realises that she may not have the heart to go through it. Marie stands up to leave and says that she was maybe wrong and says to Liz that she has choices on how things end, Liz tells her to wait and then asks her how to do it
Kaz gets rid of the hotshot that was given to Liz by Marie
Liz is in her cell fixing things up as she has written letters for her two kids Artie and Sophie, Liz walks over to her curtain and closes it as she takes off her robe, as she sits on the bed and prepares the hot shot she has the needle in her arm as Kaz walks into her cell and notices what she is doing, Kaz takes the syringe off of Liz who tells Kaz that she just wants to end it and that it is her choice to do so not her diseases. Kaz agrees but says her time isn't now. Kaz asks her who gives her the hotshot and Liz confirms that it was Marie, Kaz walks over to the sink and she flushes the drugs away Liz looks defeated at what just happened as Kaz was off furious..Kaz walks into the unit as she overhears Marie and Drago talking about Liz, Drago asks how did she go and Marie says that Liz will be dead by the count with Boomer in the slot it is all over, as Drago then says she scored some drugs for Marie from another block, Marie takes it and kisses Drago as Kaz slips away, Marie slowly walks out of Drago's cell.
Kaz goes to medical and tells Nurse Shen that she is there to see Taylah Bullock. Kaz walks over to Taylah and asks her to tell her where the stash of drugs is hidden, Taylah at first refuses until Kaz tells her that it is laced with rat poison, Taylah tells her the location of the stash in the laundry and Kaz finds it, Kaz goes to Marie's unit and tries to find
Jake is headbutted after getting up in Will's face over the blackmail
During the night Will is leaving work as Jake chases after him and says that Vera won't talk to him, Will ignores him as he leaves the prison, Jake asks if she is paying up and Jake says that he needs to know what is going on, Will then says that Vera isn't talking to him either and Jake says to sweet talk her as she likes him and demand some answers. Will tells Jake to leave him alone as Jake tells him that if she doesn't do anything he will go down for conspiracy but Will will get life for murder, Will again tells Jake to get out of his face as Jake demands that Will speak with Vera and says "tell her to pay up you dumb f*ck.." Will then headbutts Jake in the face as Jake falls to the ground Will drives off on his bike as Jake watches him leave.
Vera realises that Channing could be the blackmailer
Vera is sitting at the table in her house when she hears a knock on the door, she opens the door to see Jake and asks him why did he come to her house, Jake says that he doesn't know and Vera questions and asks what he wants if it is sympathy, Jake says that he doesn't want to go to prison and that they all should be working together. Vera says that she hasn't paid the money because she doesn't know what to do, Vera says that she has never been blackmailed before and she feels sick to her stomach all the time, Jake says that he remembers how it feels, he ponders for a moment and says that there was someone who knew about her and Ferguson and someone who held a grudge and was governor when the escape happened, Vera says "Derek Channing.."
"Some junkie overdosed.."
Ruby walks back to the unit and knocks on the door as Ruby asks Rita if she is ok and Rita says that she is, Ruby then says that she was talking with Shelley when Allie recognised her from Marie's photo wall but she managed to spin a lie. Rita says to Ruby that she needs to break up with Allie, Ruby says that she can't because she loves her, Rita says that she needs to do it to protect herself. Outside in the unit, Rita and Ruby are distracted by Marie collapsing as Drago is told to press the panic button, Rita starts CPR as Liz is with Kaz in her cell and wonders what happened as Kaz says "Some junkie overdosed."
