Will confesses what he done to Kaz, as Zara becomes increasingly suspicious of Rita.
Plot
Rita is sitting with the detectives as she gets information about Drago and they tell her that she is Marie's right hand woman who does all her dirty work so Marie can keep her nose clean. Rita asks what is her background and they say that she is Serbian and she was tortured during the war in Bosnia and left for dead, but she served time in prison in Serbia for war crimes, Rita is surprised and says that she is now in Wentworth and that 'makes her day', she then asks if they done and Jonesy says that they heard that Ray has been to visit and she says that is part of the job and she hides a sim card as she is released from the slot.
Ruby is talking with Boomer who says that she needs to study for her test tomorrow and Boomer says 'what is the point I'm disabled' as Allie tells her to leave it, Liz asks Kaz what is she going to do about Sonia and she says that she is working on it and Liz says whats to work on, Kaz asks her if she has seen the doctor and Liz says that she is just stressed after everything that has happened to her and says that she needs to hurry up.
Rita walks into her unit where she sees Drago holding her tub of belongings and asks if she can help, Drago says that she can go to the screws and tell them that she wants to move as Marie doesn't need her anymore, Rita says that she will leave that up to Marie, as Marie walks into the unit and says that she sees that they have met, she says to Drago to give them a minute. Rita asks where she found "Dracula" and Marie says that is Drago she is one of her business associates and is very loyal and says that she wants her and Rita to work together and says that a bit of Drago goes a long way and Marie then asks her what the argument with Kosta was about and Rita says that she convinced Kosta to let Marie's drugs slide, Marie thanks her and then leaves.
In the hallway, Vera sees the story and Will looking at it and she says that it makes a change from seeing Ferguson's face up there, Vera asks Will if he's ok and he says that he is fine, as Sonia calls Vera's name she says that they take a good photo and she says that her and her publicist have come up with another idea and says that a radio interview with a shock jock is what they need, Vera says that she doesn't want to be ridiculed and Sonia says that they have complete control of the interview and Vera agrees and says she will run it by the media liaison.
Boomer goes off almost revealing Liz is Witness X
In the dining room Sonia is talking to Liz about the interview wanting to talk about the workshop and Liz says that she doesn't want to do it as she will be nervous and might stuff up, Sonia says not to worry as she is there, Kaz tells her that no means no and Liz says that Boomer should be the one doing the interview and Boomer says that she should be the one and Sonia says that they needed a normal prisoner to the interview and Boomer says that she was the one who helped her not Liz and goes to say something else but is cut off by Sonia who calls her petulant and Boomer screams 'whatever that means' and tosses her food tray aside, Will then kicks her out of the dining room, as Ruby asks Allie what is the history between Drago and Marie, Allie says that she doesn't know as it was after her time..
Kaz figures out that Liz has been Witness X
Boomer is in her cell ripping up her notes as Kaz comes in and tells her to settle down and she sits her down and talks to her, Boomer says that she was meant to be her partner in the interview not Liz. Kaz says that she never believed Sonia's suicide story and she only said it to get Boomer off the hook, Boomer looks on as Kaz asks what was she about to say when Liz cut her off, Kaz asks what did she do to Sonia and Kaz realises that Liz was the one who poisoned her and asks Boomer what was she afraid of and Boomer says that she promised not to tell and Kaz asks her if Liz was Witness X, and Boomer confirms it.
Jake gets sleeping tablets and uppers from Nurse Radcliffe which leads to her firing
Jake stops Will in the hallway and asks if he is still having trouble sleeping and Will says that he has taken the tablets he gave him and is not sleeping a wink. Jake talks with Nurse Radcliffe and tells her that he is having trouble sleeping as he "had tried" herbal stuff but it wasn't really working, Radcliffe jokes that it is the first sign of a guilty conscience, and he says he needs something a little stronger, she tells him to go to the chemist and Jake apologies for being on late shift helping out Will and he needs something, Radcliffe ends up giving him uppers and sleeping tablets and he says that he owes her.
Ruby and Boomer talk as Boomer reveals her childhood was awful
In the unit, Ruby walks in and she sees Boomer sitting on the lounge and they talk, Boomer says that she isn't going to do the test, Ruby tells her that she cannot let what the reporter said get on her mind, Boomer says that it isn't the reporter and she says that it is her, she says that she is dumb and says that all her life that she has been wrong and her mother would hit her all the time and even when she was pregnant with her she would drink heavily. Ruby tells Boomer that what her mother did messes with peoples heads and it has a name and all, Boomer has a realisation and asks if it isn't her fault, Ruby tells her that it is not her fault at all.
Marie and Drago are talking about the rat and Drago says that she is sure that it is Pasquale because he is getting bail but she will make sure that Lukas pays him a visit. As they walk into the laundry, Will asks where Rita is and Marie says that she went to medical as she wasn't feeling well, Drago says that she doesn't trust Rita and Marie says that she doesn't trust anyone.
Kaz talks to Will and asks him when is Spike getting out of the slot and Will says that she will be released in a few days and Kaz says to Will if he thinks Spike killed Gilmour and Will says that Spike is still denying it and Kaz says that what if it was Sonia and she confused her for Liz and Will says that Sonia didn't even know her why would she do that, Kaz then says it was because she is a psycho, Kaz walks into the laundry as Allie and Ruby are talking, Allie tells Ruby that Marie is old news to her and Ruby asks her for help as she wants to help Boomer, all she has to do is charm Linda.
Rita is in Marie's cell looking for the phone and as she looks for it she finds it in a teddy sitting on the bed, as Drago finds her and pulls out a shiv, Rita looks at her and says "You're gonna shiv me for making a phone call?", as they wait for Marie to come, Drago plays a knife game as Marie comes in Rita explains that she had an argument with Ray before she was slotted and she needed to call him, Drago says that she could've used the phones and Rita says that they pulled her phone privileges, Rita goes to hand the phone back over to her and Marie insists that she call Ray, Ray answers and he backs up the story of their argument before the phone is hung-up, Rita is kicked out of Marie's cell and Rita walks away knowing she just missed being caught out.
In the workshop, Sonia tells Liz that they need to work out what they are going to say tomorrow, Sonia tells her to stay on message and keep to the story, Liz confused asks what the story is and Sonia says that how good the workshop is and how it is helping people like Boomer and inspiring others, Sonia notices Vera is watching and walks over to her and Vera says that she has seen Sonia's media sheet for the interview and asks why Liz is involved with it and she says that Liz is the model for recidivism as she is a peer worker. Vera walks over to Liz and asks if she is ok with doing the interview and says that it is ok to back out, Liz says to Vera that she wants to do it as it will be good for the women.
Linda watches Ruby as Allie has to quickly come up with a plan
Ruby and Allie are looking through window in the education room as they see Linda walking down and Ruby asks if she can go in and get her magazine but Linda says that the centre is closed unless they were doing a TAFE test. The two ask again and Linda says that they'll have to come back on Friday and Allie bribes Linda as Ruby says that no one will know, Linda takes the bribe and says that it is an expensive magazine, Ruby goes inside as she looks around she finds the tests but has to walk over to get her mag and as she stands there Linda tells her to hurry up and Ruby wants Allie to do something, Allie collapses to the ground and Linda calls it in as Ruby rushes and gets the paper as she goes out of the room she asks what happen and Linda says that she doesn't know and that she just collapsed, Allie says that she is feeling better and Ruby says that she will take her back to the unit, as they walk away, Linda realises what they may have done and watches them leave.
Boomer tells Allie and Ruby they stole the wrong paper
Ruby and Allie laugh at what they just done with Ruby claiming it was the 'worst acting she had ever seen' and Allie says that it worked, Boomer comes over to ask what is going on and they both say they got a paper for her so she can study, Boomer grabs it and begins to read it and calls it 'shoplifting' as Allie says that it is the shopfitting exam and Boomer says that it is still the wrong paper as the two laugh and Boomer calls them dickheads.
Marie returns to her unit as Rita asks her if she would like a cuppa and Marie says thanks as Rita says that she is sorry for what happened in the morning as she was 'desperate', Marie doesn't say a lot as Rita says that Drago is staring daggers at her and Marie says that she is just jealous and Rita says that she would hate to see what Drago would do if she really hated someone. Drago comes in and talks to Marie and tells her that her contact isn't the rat but is in the process of finding out who it is, Marie then says that Drago needs to not draw attention to herself and Marie while she is in prison as she wants to be out in six months and tells her to change into prison gear, Drago agrees and walks out as Rita watches on.
In the staffroom, Jake hands Will tablets and says to take them and Will says that the last time that happened Jake stole his job and Jake says to take them or Vera will get sus, he says that the tablets are legit, and Will says that he wont tell Vera anything and Jake says that in his state he doesn't know what he's doing, he also tells him that is why they use sleep deprivation at Gitmo and tells him the tablets are blue for go and white for stop, Will takes some as Jake leaves, Will takes more tablets then recommended.
Will is comforted by Kaz after revealing to her he buried Ferguson alive
During the night, Will gets a radio call saying that there was a fault in the H block and Will agrees to go and have a look, but as he does he begins to feel unwell as he attempts to make his way around the prison, he can hear inmates asking if he is okay and he doesn't answer them as he begins to feel sick, he stumbles into the showers and tells the women in there to get out, Kaz tells Boomer that no one is to go into the showers and she says that is fine and Kaz goes to check on Will. Will vomits in the sink as Kaz comes in and asks if he is okay and she realises that he isn't and says that he will go and get the nurse, and Will says no as he has taken something, outside people are wondering why they can't get in and an inmate says that Kaz is probably giving him a blowjob. Inside Kaz asks Will if he is ok and he finally reveals the truth to Kaz and he says that he has not slept since Ferguson because he has constant nightmares and tells Kaz that he didn't just kill Ferguson he buried her alive and he keeps hearing the sounds of her screaming and the shovel. Kaz tells him that he did it for the women so that she didn't have to and that he is the bravest person she knows as she comforts him, Marie says that she has had enough of waiting and barges past Marie who sees Will and Kaz sharing a moment, an annoyed Kaz yells at Boomer as Marie looks at the dejected officer.
Will denies his despair but is living with something else
Will does his rounds during the night and he goes past Marie's unit and sees light coming from her cell, he decides to investigate as Marie is attempting to smoke drugs, he watches from outside as she inhales it and he opens the cell door and Marie looks up at him and she puts her stuff down and she says that she knows it is bad but it is the only way to deal with her grief as the nights are far more worse then the days, as Will looks at her and says if that is how she deals with it. Marie then says she knows what he is going through after seeing him in the bathroom and says that was pure despair and Will warns her to get rid of the drugs and Marie says that until she can get over it, it is her vice, Will walks away as Marie stands in her cell.
During the night Boomer is playing with a paper airplane as Ruby comes into her cell and says that her brain injury wasn't her fault either and that she used to be really smart before everything, Boomer says that she must of been 'Einstein' and Ruby says that her dad used to call her that. Ruby says that she now has boxing which Boomer says that she is ace at that and Ruby says that Boomer is great at welding and needs to take the test. Boomer says that it is too late as the test is the following morning and Ruby says that it is never too late, the women help Boomer study for her exam by using the stolen exam and by asking her questions about the course she is taking the exam for and ask her safety questions and when she is about to give up the women tell her to keep going as they are staying up for her, the women help her until she has enough.
In the dining room, Boomer isn't hungry as she is worried about her exam as the women tell her it will be easy as Sonia asks Liz if she is ready for her interview and Liz says that she is, as Jake comes in and says that the media is ready for them, the women cheer as Liz and Sonia leaves.
Will and Vera talk as Will says that the women are pretty excited for the interview and Vera says that she told them that they could listen in and it could be good for morale, Will jokes that it could also be good for Sonia's ego. Will then tells Vera that there is a rumour going around the prison that Sonia was the one who killed Gilmour and framed Baxter for it, Vera says that she doubts that Sonia would be so dumb and Will says what could she possibly gain from doing something like that and Vera realises that she made a deal with the devil.
Sonia gleefully outs Liz as Witness X
As Boomer goes in for her exam, the interview between Liz, Sonia and the radio is beginning as Vera and Will walk in to the visitors centre as the women in the laundry listen in on the radio, as the interviewer asks Sonia how they are tackling the reoffending of criminals, Sonia says that they are training the women and some are even sitting their exams to gain their tickets, the interviewer then asks about Sonia's trial as she says she is changing her plea and it is due to police corrupt. Sonia then says Liz would know all about that because she spoke at her trial and perjured herself to get her convicted, Sonia then reveals that Liz was Witness X and Liz reveals that she would've done anything for Don as he had a 'perfect cock', Vera rushes in and stops the interview as Sonia looks at Liz in disbelief as Vera asks her what the hell that was and Sonia tries to respond but is stopped and told to shut up, Vera tells her that it is the end of her media career and says that the next time she is making the papers is at her trial.
Boomer is still taking her test as the tester calls time, as Ruby and Allie as she leaves the room asks how it was Boomer says it was all just a blur and Allie says that it must've gone better then the interview that Liz and Sonia did, Boomer asks what happened as they walk off.
Sonia threatens to kill Liz after upending her own interview
Liz is in her cell as a furious Sonia comes in and repeats what Liz said in the interview about Don's 'perfect cock' and says that if it messes her up she will kill her, Liz tells Sonia that she was the one who sabotaged her as they were supposed to be talking about the garden project and Sonia was the one who sabotaged herself. Sonia threatens Liz again and Liz says to just do it as it would be better then living in her head as it is driving her insane and that she thinks she had dementia. Sonia feigns being nice and says that she should take a little walk in the yard, as the PA announces that work unit has finished.
Liz is thrown to the women after being revealed as Witness X
Sonia takes Liz into the yard and says for her to 'stretch' her legs but when she sees the woman there they begin hurling abuse at her as Sonia tells them to be quiet she tells the women she is giving them Witness X and throws Liz into the crowd, Liz falls to the ground as the women begin throwing piles of dirt and grass at her as Liz cries out that it wasn't all her fault and that she couldn't help it. Linda and several guards rush out to try and stop what is happening, as Allie and Kaz run out to tell the women to stop, several women ask why she is being protected as Allie tells one of them to shut up as Liz is being taken away Kaz gives Sonia a dirty look as Kaz asks Liz if she will see the doctor now, Liz cries out that it wasn't her fault before she is taken back inside.
Vera is in her office reviewing the footage from the garden, as Will comes in Vera tells him to take a seat, Vera asks Will if he remembers the day when they tossed Baxter's cell and found the murder weapon, Will says that they found the weapon, Vera then says the tip off came from Stevens, Will asks how she knows, Vera says that Sonia promised her that she would find her killer for reopening the workshop, Will questions that she did a deal with Stevens and Vera says that she only did it because the board, press and the police were breathing down her neck so she thought that the prison grapevine would've come in handy, Will then says that she did do it and Vera says that Sonia framed Baxter for it, Will says that she must've of hidden the weapon somewhere they didn't find it during the search, Vera says that they have a weapon, a motive but no proof, Will asks her if she has checked the CCTV footage and she says not yet. Jake comes in with Linda and says that she wanted to see them as Vera says that she fired Nurse Radcliffe today as Linda jokes that "she didn't see that coming" Vera then says it was because she couldn't account for missing drugs in medical and Vera says that she wishes she could be surprised and looks at Jake when she says that people never cease to disappoint.
Will talks to Kaz and he asks how Liz is, Kaz says that Liz is with Allie, Will then says to Kaz he is sorry for dumping his stuff on her the other night and Kaz says that it is ok. Will then says that Governor is looking into Sonia after what she said, Kaz is surprised and asks if Vera believes that Sonia is the one who killed Gilmour and Will says that they are trying to find evidence of her planting the murder weapon, Kaz says that they have to find it soon as Spike comes out of the slot soon and she is going to have to deliver justice, Kaz walks away as Will stands there.
Drago harasses Ruby on the stairs
Ruby and Allie are talking as they walk up the stairs, they both run into Drago who makes a face at Ruby who tells her that she isn't interested and Drago says that she was very interested before, Ruby says that she was but was being paid to be a drug mule and Drago says that she can pay to before reaching for Ruby, Ruby tells her to "fuck off" and Drago walks down the stairs as Rita asks if everything is alright, Ruby says it is nothing she can't handle and Rita tells her to stay away from her, Allie tells Ruby that Drago gives her the creeps.
Drago punches Rita after being insulted by her in Serbian
Rita is standing outside Marie's unit as she sees that Marie is in the airlock with Jake and Rita walks into the unit and says to Drago that she seen her talking up the 'young Koori girl' and she asks if Drago like's black women and Drago tells her to go away and Rita says that she doesn't like her either, Rita then says something in Serbian and Drago punches her and Rita says that lucky for her it was the only Serbian she knew, Drago punches her again and this time she is caught out by Jake and Marie who Jake tries to get off Drago as Marie is being taken away Drago hands Marie the phone as Marie tells her what part of lowkey did she not understand. Marie asks Rita if she wants to go to medical and Rita tells Marie that she was 'jumped' by her and says that she is out of control.
Liz sits down with Dr Clifton who says that he is going to go through a bunch of tests with Liz as Vera watches from outside she realises when she watches on that Liz is in some serious trouble with her memory and Liz cannot remember the three objects that the doctor gave her and tears up when she cannot remember them, the doctor says that it is ok as Vera who is still outside realises that Liz struggling.
Rita is in her cell as Marie comes in and throws her the phone saying that she can call Ray using her phone, Marie leaves as Rita waits until she goes and she pulls out a sim card from her curtain.
Michael reveals that the police have finally arrested Don Kaplan which has tainted all of his cases
Sonia is talking with Michael Armstrong in the interview room and says that she knows the interview the week prior was a debacle and says that he can save his breathe, Michael says that it wasn't good and says that he has even better news, he reveals that the police have arrested Don Kaplan and says that the police are extraditing him from Amsterdam, Sonia says that Don has no imagination, and Michael says that the DPP only have two witnesses and they know it, Sonia says that the witnesses would be Don and Liz and Michael says that all of Don's cases are now tainted and he is going to see the DPP in the morning and says that with a bit of luck Sonia could be out in 48 hours, Sonia is very pleased with this.
Boomer looks at the results of the TAFE testing
Jake is putting up the list of results on the bulletin board as Hutch asks if it is a list of his girlfriends, Jake says it is the TAFE test results and everyone begins to look, as Boomer, Allie and Ruby walk Ruby tells Boomer a fact about turtles and Boomer sees the women at the board and asks what is going on, Hutch says that it is the test results. Allie and Ruby tell Boomer to go and have a look as Boomer does, she walks over and takes a look at the sheet before she takes it off the wall and walks off, with the women complaining and Allie and Ruby looking on confused.
Boomer is celebrating her TAFE exam result of C+
Sonia is sitting in her unit and she pours herself a drink as Boomer comes in and says that she thought she wasn't talking to her and Boomer says that she isn't and Sonia says that she misses her chats with her, Boomer hands her the results of the test and says to suck that up and says that she isn't a dumb arse and Sonia while looking at the paper is more then surprised, Sonia stands up and says that she will get her a drink, when she does Boomer asks her what she is so happy about and Sonia says that her release is coming and she will be out in two days and Sonia says to Boomer now that she has her certificate from the TAFE she will always have the workshop, Kaz is watching on and Boomer says that she is celebrating and Kaz tells her to go celebrate somewhere else.
Sonia listens to Kaz
Boomer leaves, Sonia tells Kaz that she must know how to kill a good time, as Kaz tells Sonia that she knows that she is the one who killed Gilmour and covered it up, Sonia says that if she believes Liz as she is "demented" then she is the one with the problem, Kaz points out that she knows at lot more then she realises, Sonia says how could she possibly know that and refutes the claim by asking if she is a cop. Kaz then lets Sonia know that her days are possibly now numbered once Spike is set to be released from the slot and she will put it up to the women to make their decision, and that she could be out in two days or dead in one, as Kaz leaves, Sonia is left to ponder the future.
